SUMMARY :

Established in 2000, Ras Al Khaimah Free Trade Zone (RAKFTZ) is the home to more than 8,600 companies from over 100 countries, representing more than 50 industry sectors. The free zone is within easy reach of Sharjah International Airport and the business hub of Dubai.

RAKFTZ is made up of four main parks – Business Park (corporate and business), Industrial Park (industrial and heavy machinery), Technology Park (trading and light manufacturing) and Academic Zone (educational institutions). Ras Al Khaimah Free Trade Zone is open to new Free Zone Establishments and Free Zone Companies as well as branches of local and foreign businesses. There are several licence types available: commercial, consultancy / service, industrial and educational. The free zone’s facility packages are just as varied. Entrepreneurs and business owners can choose from flexi-desks; serviced, shell and core and executive offices; warehouses; and industrial land.

The emirate of Ras Al Khaimah is known for its strong and diverse economy and has the highest level of industrialisation in all of the UAE. Businesses that set up here also benefit from low cost of doing business – 25% to 50% lower than the UAE average.
